Betty Lou (Nunley) Wininger, 83, of Duncan, Okla, passed away Thursday, Feb 23, 2012 in the Comanche County Memorial Hospital, Lawton, Okla. Services will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday in the Chisholm Trail Church of Christ, with Leonard Keele officiating. Interment will be in the Rock Creek Cemetery under the direction of the Bailes-Polk Funeral Home.
Betty was born Oct 7, 1928, at Nellie, Okla, the daughter of Oliver Forest "O.F. Jake" and Mary Lou Nunley Robinson, She and Basil Glenn Wininger were married at North Park, Calif, on Nov 8, 1944 and he preceded her in death on Dec 25, 1999. She was a member of the Chisolm Trail Church of Christ, enjoyed crafts, music, traveling, watching birds and all forms of nature. She was a member of the Beta Sigma Phi Sorority, the Rebecca Lodge in Lawton and the Odd Fellows Lodge in Lawton. She was also preceded in death by her parents.
Survivors include her son, Larry Wininger of Raymore, Mo; her daughter, Sharon Barton of Duncan; two grandsons, jeremy and James Wininger of Raymore; a brother, Jimmy Robinson of Duncan; and special friend, Bill Keeling of Lawton; as well as several aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and toerh relative and host of friends.
