She was born October 1, 1913 in Morgan County, IL; the daughter of Henry and Stella Walker Bersig. She married Charles F. Aggertt on September 24, 1937 in Chandlerville, IL and he preceded in death on February 19, 2006.
She is survived by a daughter, Virginia Lee Sperry (husband, Harold) of Washington; a son, Charles Stephen "Steve" Aggertt (wife, Phyllis) of rural Ashland; three grandchildren, Carol Bierman of Gibson City, John Aggertt of Mahomet, and Colby Aggertt of Washington Courthouse, OH; and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by an infant son, Frederick, and a brother, Roland Bersig.
Mrs. Aggertt was a 1931 graduate of Jacksonville High School. She was the oldest living graduate of Memorial Hospital School of Nursing. She served as a registered nurse for Beardstown Hospital, Memorial Hospital, Rutledge Manor Nursing Home of Springfield, and Myers Nursing Home in Beardstown. She was a member of the Ashland United Methodist Church where she was a former Sunday School teacher, active in the United Methodist Women, and served on numerous committees. An avid bridge player, she was a former member of several card clubs and Ashland Women's Club.
Services were entrusted to Massie Buchanan Funeral Home of Ashland, Indiana.
