Rachel C. Joyce Jennings, 96, of Martinsville passed away Saturday, June 29, 2019, at her residence.

She was born in Westfield, N.C., October 30, 1922, to William V. Joyce and Ida Inman Joyce.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Jack Jennings; a daughter, Linda Hensley; two sisters: Gladys Potts and Vernell Beasley; one brother, Robert Joyce.

Rachel retired from Tultex with over 19 years of service and was a member of Mercy Crossing Church.

She is survived by a daughter, Kathleen Hall; and a son and daughter-in-law, Clinton and Carol Jennings; eight grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; and nine great-great-grandchildren; two brothers: Herbert and Delmar Joyce.

The funeral service will be held Tuesday, July 2, 2019, at 11 a.m. at McKee-Stone Funeral Home in Martinsville where the family will receive friends one hour prior to the service. Interment will follow at Roselawn Burial Park. The Rev. Jimmy Wood and Pastor Knuckles will officiate.
