MILAM - Funeral for Maxie L. McCary, 63, of Milam will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday in Starr Chapel with burial in Adams Cemetery in Shelby County.
He died at 6 a.m. Sunday in M.D. Anderson Hospital in Houston.
Surviviors include his wife, Velva McCary of Milam, three sons, Buron McCary and Wendell McCary, both of Houston, and Maxie McCary of Beaumont; two daughters, Mrs. Billy Fussell of Longview and Mrs. Jim Amacker of Sugarland; one sister, Mrs. Vivian Stevens of Center, Tex., and three brothers, John McCary of Milam, Jack McCary of San Augustine and J. M. McCary of Pineland.
