Mildred was born in West Baden, and spent her adult years in Anderson. She retired from Guide Lamp.
She will be remembered as a loving mother, sister and grandmother.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Jesse and Lois Hallaway; siblings, Maxine Watson, Lester Hallaway; husbands, Beacher Key, Gilbert Mata; son, Gary Key; and her grandson, Jeffery Smith Jr.
Mildred is survived by her sister, Shirley Thornton; children, Tony (Jennifer) Key of LaPorte, Jeanette (Mark) Saicheck of Pendleton; seven grandchildren, Nicole Key, Megan (Chip) Diffendapper, RT McIntyre, Jessica (Paul) Shreve, Jonathan (Julie) Smith, Chris (Nicole) Saicheck, Kevin (Rebeca) Saicheck; and four great-grandchildren.
There will be a celebration of life for Mildred on July 6, from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m., with the funeral to follow at 1 p.m. at Loose Funeral Homes & Crematory 200
