Obituary for Mrs. Barbara A. Routier
Barbara A. Routier, 80, of Edinburgh, passed from this life at 3:20 a.m. Saturday, July 6, 2019 at Franklin Meadows.
Mrs. Routier was born July 8, 1938, in Columbus, the daughter of Woodrow W. and Evelyn Louise Joslin Tays. She married James A. Routier November 5, 1956. He preceded her in death September 13, 2002.
Barbara was formerly employed at Gene’s Cafeteria where she had worked for several years and later the Pizza Shack and Dairy Queen in Edinburgh.
She enjoyed gardening, sewing, doing crafts and had a craft business with her late husband.
She was a member of Mount Olive Methodist Church.
Survivors include her children, Randall A. (Cecelia) Routier, Rhonda Pendleton, Robbin (Donald) Henderson, and Regan (Andrew) Hoevener all of Edinburgh; grandchildren, Adrian, Arryn, Brandon, Tory, Shawn, Shelby, Seth, Shayla, Katelin, Kelcey, and Kristin; 15 great-grandchildren; and a brother, Charles Edward Tays of North Carolina.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; and siblings, Bonnie, Tommy, and Jesse.
The funeral will be conducted at 10:00 a.m. Thursday at Barkes, Weaver & Glick Funeral Home on Washington Street.
Family and friends may call from 5:00 to 8:00 p.m. Wednesday and 9:00 a.m. to time of service Thursday.
Burial will be at Garland Brook Cemetery.
