Charles Layne Burditt II, 43, died Saturday, Nov. 13, 2004, at the Colmery-O'Neil Veterans Administration Medical Center in Topeka.

A Memorial Service will be conducted at 11 a.m. Thursday, Nov. 18, at the First Baptist Church in Cottonwood Falls with Pastor Rick Smith officiating. Mr. Burditt has been cremated.

Charles Layne Burditt, II was born March 5, 1961, in Spring Valley, Calif., to Charles L. and Irene Battolla Burditt.
He served in the U.S. Army from 1979 until 1982 as a small arms repairmen.
He was employed with McNee Drilling and Metals in Cottonwood Falls until illness prevented him from his duties.

He is survived by his mother, Irene Fisher;
step-father, Gerald Dean Fisher, Sr.; step-mother, Gloria Burditt;
sisters, Rose Burditt and Christy Bishop, Hutchinson, and
Loretta Spielman, Newton;
brothers,
Shawn Burditt of Hutchinson (MEMORIAL ID 191178061)
and Bruce Burditt, Cottonwood Falls; step-sisters, Tammy Faulkner, Hutchinson, Dee-Dee Fisher, McPherson and Roberta Fisher, Sterling; and a son, Daniel Burditt, Massachusetts. He was preceded in death by his father and step-brother, Gerald Dean Fisher Jr.
