Born on July 26, 1900 in Deweyville, Utah to James and Serilla Loveland Burbank. Married Elsie Yates on July 3, 1920 in Salt Lake City; marriage later solemnized in the Salt Lake LDS Temple. She died on August 23, 1980. Married Hilda Houseman Rogers on May 24, 1984 in Elko, Nevada.Superintendent of Mines for American Smelting and Refining Company and Kennecott Copper Company for 35 years in Gold Cost, West Africa, Buchans, Newfoundland; Wallace, Idaho; and Salt Lake City. Member of LDS Church.

Survived by wife and companion, Hilda; children, James (Ted) and his wife, Ann Burbank; Wayne L. and his wife, La Rae Burbank, Robert K. (Bob) and his wife, Maxine Burbank; all of Salt Lake City; Betty V. and her husband, Bill Cole, Kelso, Washington; and Joyce M. Tacchino, Reno, Nevada; 30 grandchildren; 53 great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren; brother, Melvin and his wife, Cora Burbank, Quartsite, Arizona; stepsons, Joe and his wife, Joyce Rogers, and Doug and his wife, Stephanie Rogers, all of Salt Lake City.

Funeral services will be held on Saturday December 8, 1990 at 11 a.m. in the MacKay Deseret Mortuary Chapel, 36 east 700 south, where friends may call Friday, 6-8 p.m. and Saturday, 9:45-10:45 a.m. Interment, Wasatch Lawn Memorial Park.
