Dewey married Judy (Burdick) Iverson on Febuary 22, 2012 in Kauni, HI and she survives. Also surviving are his children: Roberta Leiby and her husband John of E Peoria, IL, Janet Miesner of Peoria, IL, Gloria Adreon of Oshkosh, WI, Shirley Harris and her husband Terry of E Peoria, IL, Dewey Adreon, Jr and his wife Kathy of Coweta, OK, Joseph Adreon of Pasadena, CA, Jill Pavley and her husband Rob of Washington, IL, Steve Volden and his wife Cheryl of McFarland, WI, Kym Thompson of Portage, WI, Darwin Volden and his wife Dawn of Friendship, WI, 21 grandchildren, 37 great-grandchildren, a sister Norrissa Freeman of Avilla, IN, nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents, a brother Bruce Adreon, and 2 granddaughters Jennifer Hart and Megan Miesner.
Dewey was a private pilot and a lifetime member of the EAA. Flying was his passion and he also enjoyed hunting, fishing, boating, and building airplanes. He lived in various places including Broken Arrow, OK, Oshkosh, WI, and finally settling in Madison, MO.
In lieu of flowers, memorials to ALS Foundation or American Heart Association would be appreciated.
Words of comfort and support may be shared with the family at the visitation, Friday, July 12, 11am to 1pm at the Cater Funeral Home Chapel. Services honoring and celebrating Dewey’s life will follow at 1pm. Private committal services will be held at the Roselawn Cemetery in Monona, WI at a later date.
