The 2nd child of Charles & Anna Janzen Seibel she was born in Fairview, Major County Oklahoma.
1930 Census of Peabody Marion County Kansas has her age as 11. Due to serious eye problems, Esther was unable to finish her schooling. She was baptized, and a member of the Baptist church.
She married Jack E. Carpenter (1918-2001) Aug 19, 1939 at the 1st Baptist Church, Peabody, Kansas. One daughter Judy Ann Carpenter Litton (1943- )and a son Dennis Lee (1948 - 2015) were born to this union while the family lived in Peabody, Kansas, the children were both born at Axtel Christian Hospital in Newton, Harvey County Kansas.
1940 census has Jack and Esther living in the Walton TWP, Harvey County.
1954 Esther and Jack moved from Peabody, Kansas to Scott County, Kansas and farmed southwest of Shallow Water Kansas until they retired and moved to Hollister, Missouri.
Esther was artistic and made quilts for her family, she loved china painting, cermanics and crafting. A great cook she enjoy hosting family gatherings for the Seibel, Janzen and Carpenter clans.
