Elmer Profitt of Campton, Kentucky departed this life Wednesday, July 10, 2019 at the age of 79 years, 11 months and 21 days. He was a son of the late Swango and Dovie Jane Tolson Profitt, born at Campton, Kentucky on July 19. 1939. He was a former truck driver and a volunteer police officer for the city of Dayton, Ohio. He is survived by one daughter, Christine Jenkins of Lexington, Kentucky; six grandchildren; three great grandchildren; one brother, Ray Douglas Profitt (Ruthie) of Fairborn, Ohio; and one sister, Lucy Alexander (Virgil) of Campton, Kentucky. He was preceded in death by one son, Dennis Ray Profitt; two daughters, Dorothy Profitt and Gracie Profitt; his parents, Swango and Dovie Jane Tolson Profitt; four brothers, William Virgil Profitt, Willard Profitt, Orlan Profitt and Delmar Profitt; and two sisters. Orglean Hollon and Marinda Johnson. He also leaves behind a host of other relatives and friends to mourn his passing.
