Agnes Marie (Toots) - 84, Bedford, died April 30, 1995, in Camp Hill Medical Centre, Halifax. Born in Halifax, she was a daughter of the late Angus Alexander and Stella May (Purcell) Ferguson. In her early years she was employed with Moirs Chocolates. Several years later she began a career with Canadian Immigration at Pier 21 where she held the position of head matron, helping many new immigrants get settled and reassured them about their new life in Canada. She was the last surviving member of her immediate family. Surviving are her husband, Robert; stepsons, Lester, Gordon, Bedford; Peter, Fernie, B.C.; stepdaughter, Carol Drysdale, Lower Sackville; three step-granddaughters; four step-grandsons; a great-step-grandson; several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her first husband, Charles Judge; brothers, Albert, John, Edward, Robert; sisters, Margaret Osborne, Janet Power, May Mahoney; nephew, Donald.
