"Michael Andres, Former Baker, Dies in Home - Michael L Andres, 78, of 303 Linden Ave, died at 10:15 pm Sunday at his home after an extended illness. He was born August 21, 1884, in Austria, Poland. Mr Andres had been a resident of Oil City since 1908. He was married to the former Aniela Urban on April 18, 1910, who survives. Also surviving are: a daughter, Miss Stella A, at home; five sons, John, Adam, Edmund and Alfred, all of Oil City, and Walter of Titusville; eight grandchildren; two brothers, Bruno of Franklin and Louis of Ladysmith, Wis; and a sister, Mrs Mary Kendzior of Franklin. A son, Frank, preceded him in death. Mr Andres was first employed at the Oil Well Supply Company. He later entered the bakery business with his brother. The bakery was known as the Andres Bros Bakery and the brothers were associated in business for a number of years. He was a member of the Assumption BVM Church. Mr Andres was a member and at the time of his death president of the Polish Union; and a member of the Polish Roman Catholic Union; the Polish National Alliance 905; and the Pulaski Club. The body has been removed to the Joseph Szabat Funeral Home where friends may call...Funeral arrangements will be announced."

"Funerals - High mass of requiem will be sung at 10 am Wednesday in the Church of the Assumption for Michael L Andres, 78, of 303 Linden Ave, who died Sunday evening in his home. Interment will be in the Calvary Cemetery. Friends may call any time at the Joseph Szabat Funeral Home."
