Mary Leatha Norwood, 94, died Tuesday, July 2, 2019. She was born on September 17, 1924 to the late Lillian R. Norwood and Wiley D. Norwood.
In addition to her parents, Mary is predeceased by her brothers; Thomas L. Norwood of Raleigh, NC, Wiley Davis Norwood of Sanford, NC, William C. Norwood of Raleigh, NC and sisters; Blanche Briggs and husband Edward of Raleigh, NC, Frances Francis and husband Edward of Knoxville, TN as well as a host of aunts, uncles, cousins, and nephews.
She is survived by her brother of Raleigh, NC and nephews of Knoxville, TN, Sanford, NC, and Raleigh, NC.
Mary, a Raleigh native, dedicated her life to Jehovah on February 20, 1951 and served him faithfully for over 68 years. She was known for her appreciation of Jehovah's creative works and loved to work with the earth to harvest delicious fruits and vegetables. She also appreciated working in the greater harvest work of helping people on the road to life. We look forward to seeing her again in the resurrection on the cleansed earth doing those things she enjoyed so much forever!
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in her memory may be made to the Worldwide Work of Jehovah's Witnesses.
