Herbert T. Hershberger, 90, of White Pigeon, Michigan died Saturday, January 5, 2019 at home.
He was born December 17, 1928 in Elkhart to Delbert and Martha Elizabeth (Priem) Hershberger.
On March 19, 1949 he married Grace M. Coleman in Goshen.
She survives along with three children, Gilbert (Mary) Hershberger of Elkhart, Robert (Kathy) Hershberger of Goshen and Rita (Larry) Baker of Bristol; 11 grandchildren; 20 great-grandchildren; and a brother, Paul M. (Betty) Hershberger of Elkhart.
Along with his parents, he was preceded in death by a twin brother, Herman Hershberger, brother, Clarence Hershberger, and a sister, Marie Sheely.
Herbert was a veteran of the U.S. Air Corps and member of the DAV, VFW and American Legion. He worked as a tool and die maker for CTS, Elkhart, retiring around 1990.
He attended Bristol Missionary Church. He and Grace were able to winter in Florida after his retirement. Herbert enjoyed nature and being outdoors.
Visitation will be Tuesday, January 8, 2019 from 6 to 8 p.m. and Wednesday, January 9, 2019 from 10 a.m. until the 11 a.m. funeral service, all at Yoder-Culp Funeral Home, Goshen.
A private burial will take place in River View Cemetery, South Bend.
