Roy C. Allen, 61, died February 14, 2010, unexpectedly at his home in Chelmsford. Born in Ayer April 10, 1948, he was the son of the late Robert E. and Anna Selma Peterson Allen. A longtime resident of Chelmsford, he worked for over 40 years for the Courier (formerly Murray Printing) in Westford. He was a graduate of Littleton High School class of 1967, where he excelled in basketball. Mr. Allen was a longtime member of the Franco American Club of Westford, also a member of the Tahattawan Masonic Lodge AF and AM of Littleton, and a communicant of St. Catherine of Alexandria Church in Westford. Roy was an advocate of Alcoholics Anonymous and spent every holiday giving his time to anyone who needed encouragement.

Roy is survived by a sister, Mrs. Susan Kelley of Pensacola, FL; a nephew, Robert Kelley, Jr. of Florida; a special godchild, Hannah Crocker; and was a dear friend of the Leonard Crocker Family, Mickey, Robert, Richard, Denise, Barry, David, Tracy, Michael, Michelle Crocker and Jim and Marea Joncas, all of Westford.
