Patricia Ann Adkins, 79, of 120 Southwood Dr., passed away Tuesday, January 12, 2016 at Mary Gran Nursing Center.

A memorial service will be held at 11:00 am, Saturday, Jan. 23 at First United Methodist Church with the Reverend T. R. Miller officiating.

Patricia, born in 1936 in Chatham County, was the daughter of the late James Lytle Smith and Nell Perry Smith. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, William Royall Adkins, Jr.; brother, Douglas Smith; and sister, Christine Alston. She was a homemaker and a member of First United Methodist Church.

She is survived by a son, Mike and wife Carol of Liberty Township, OH; grandchildren, Megan Adkins Amlung and Michael Adkins; and sisters, Shirley Brewer and Nell Barksdale.

The family will receive friends immediately after the service at First United Methodist Church, 208 Sampson Street, Clinton, NC 28328.

In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to First United Methodist Church, 208 Sampson Street, Clinton, NC 28328 or a charity of one’s choice.
