Nathan Ray Hurley, age 64, of Cedartown, passed away on June 19, 2007. He was born on April 27, 1943 in Polk County. He was preceded in death by his parents, John "Jack" Hurley and Herstine Hurley and his sister, Helen Barber. Mr. Hurley is survived by daughter, Susan Couzzort; sons Dwight Hurley and Dwayne Hurley; sisters, Wanda Hurley, Sandra "Judy" Shell, Jackie Ledbetter and Angie Blalock; brothers, Anthony "Bubba" Hurley; step-daughter, Rhonda Hulsey; mother of Mr. Hurley's children, Betty Hurley Roberson. Also surviving are eight grandchildren, five great grandchildren, two step-grandchildren, two step-great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
The funeral service will be conducted on Friday, June 22nd at 4:00p.m. in the Chapel of the Olin L. Gammage and Sons Funeral Home with Rev. Earnest Thompson and Rev. Forrest Thompson officiating. Interment will follow in Sanders Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Thursday, June 21st from 6:00p.m. until 9:00p.m. at the Olin L. Gammage and Sons Funeral Home. Pallbearers are Billy Reed, Gordon Reed, Dicky Thacker, Edward Eason, and John Thompson. Honorary pallbearers are Todd Dean, Matthew Dean, and Steven Hurley. The Olin L. Gammage and Sons Funeral Home has charge of the arrangements.
