MASSENA- Margaret F. Losey, 83, of 1010 North Racquette River Road, peacefully passed away at her home, on Friday July 19, 2019 with her family by her side.
Margaret was born on September 14, 1935 in Ogdensburg, daughter of the late Lorne and Lillian Badlam Morrow. She was a graduate of Massena High School, and on June 30, 1956, she married Raymond C. “Bud” Losey at St. John’s Episcopal Church with Rev. Charles Persell, Jr. officiating. Bud predeceased her on June 28, 2013.
She worked as a cafeteria manager for Massena Central School District. She loved to read, shop and go for walks. But her greatest pride and joy was her grandchildren and great grandchildren.
Margaret is survived by her children, Joanne MacDonald and Sherri Rivers of Massena; Cheri and John Hatch of Massena; and Sheila and Patrick Kilcoyne of Hudson Falls; six grandchildren, Chad, Charity, Erik, Alicia, Jamie and Cody; and five great grandchildren, Wesley, Aurora, Aidan, Jenson and Jase; her sister Elizabeth and Keith Williams of Winthrop; and her brother Lawrence Morrow of Phoenix, AZ.
Besides her parents Lorne and Lillian, and her husband Raymond C. “Bud” Losey, Margaret was also predeceased by her son, James E. Losey on September 2, 1977.
There will be no public calling hours or funeral service. Services will be held privately at the convenience of the family, burial will be at Calvary Cemetery, Massena.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made in Margaret’s memory to Hospice of the St. Lawrence Valley.
