Mrs. Dorothy A. Motsinger, 87, passed away on January 6, 2011 at Shannon Gray Rehab Center. She was born on July 30, 1923 in Summerfield, N.C. to the late Clady Leroy and Lummy Boyles Allen. Mrs. Motsinger had great love for her family. Her hobbies included acrylic painting, drawing and crossword puzzles. She was a member of Conrad Memorial Baptist Church. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband Wesley M. Motsinger. She is survived by her sons, Jay S. Motsinger and wife Joy of Lexington and Scott A. Motsinger and wife Tammy of High Point; sister, Beautrice Sechrest of Jamestown; grandchildren, Jennifer Corriher and husband Kevin, Brandy Farabee and husband Steve, and Dustin Motsinger and wife Alicia; and great-grandchildren, Katherine Elise Farabee, Anna Leigh Farabee and Hunter Avery Motsinger. A funeral service will be conducted at 11 a.m. on Saturday, January 8, 2011 at Sechrest Funeral Chapel in High Point. The family will receive friends from 10-11 a.m., prior to the service. Entombment will follow in Floral Garden Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Conrad Memorial Baptist Church, c/o children’s fund, 1920 N.
