Lennis Breaw was born April 4, 1899, at Blair, Oklahoma, the daughter of Benjamin B. and Martha Emma Wear. She passed away November 22, 1973, at the Mary Lanning Hospital in Hastings at the age of 74.
She was married to Owen R. Breaw at Blair, Oklahoma, on January 8, 1918 (sic). To this union were born three children, LaVerne Shaw presently of Spokane, Washington, Lionel Breaw of Washington, D.C. and Leta Grace Illingworth of Holdrege, Nebraska.
Mrs. Breaw spent her life serving as a minister's wife. Her church membership most recently was with the United Methodist Church of Holstein, Nebraska.
Preceding her in death were her parents, one brother, H.V. Zinn and three sisters, Hattie Vasbinder, Leta Lutman and Grace McElroy.
She is survived by her husband, Owen of Council Bluffs, Iowa; her children; 8 grandchildren; 5 great grandchildren; two brothers, Joe B. Zinn of Blair, Oklahoma and Hubert Zinn of Columbus, Ohio; and three sisters, Allie Baston of Dallas, Texas, Dot Lyon of Gary, Oklahoma and Frankie Skillman of Altis, Oklahoma.
Funeral services were held Monday, November 26, 1973 at 11 a.m. from the Klawitter Funeral Home, Nelson, with Pastor Victor Schwarz of the Christian Church officiating. Interment was in the Nelson Cemetery.
Casket bearers were Jay Shaw, Robert Shaw, James Shaw, Wilbur Gewecke, Leslie Kruger and Stephen Illingworth.
