Carlie Sue Scruggs, 77, of Iuka, Mississippi, passed away on Sunday, July 21, 2019, at North Mississippi Medical Center in Iuka. She was a member of Mt. Moriah Baptist Church. She enjoyed knitting, crocheting, gardening, working with flowers, canning, and going to church. She also enjoyed spending time with her family.
She is survived by her daughter, Tammy Hampton (Sam); her grandson, Dr. Alex Hampton; her sister in law, Brenda Leatherwood; her special friends, Herman Potts; several nieces, nephews, and cousins; and her dog, Sweetie.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Grover Harold Scruggs; her parents, Curtis and Mary Alice Gresham Leatherwood; her brother, J.W. Leatherwood; and her parents in law, Mr. and Mrs. G.C. Scruggs.
