Patent trader - Thursday, Jan. 28, 1965: - VALHALLA - Felix A. McGinness, 75, of 146 Columbus Avenue, a retired gate keeper for the New York City Department of Water Supply, Gas and Electricity, died Sunday in St. Agnes Hospital, White Plains, after a brief illness. Mr. McGinness, who retired in 1947, lived in Valhalla for 43 years. He worked for the city for 43 years. A World War I Army Veteran served with the 77th Division. Born February 22, 1889 in Ossining, he was the son of the late Felix and Annie McInery McGinness. He was a volunteer fireman in Mt. Vernon and a communicant of Holy Name Church, Valhalla. Mr. McGinness leaves his wife, the former Mary Galaszewski; two sons, Felix S. McGinness of Tuckahoe and Edward P. McGinness of Mahopac; a daughter. Sister Scholastica, SA. of Greymore Monastery, Garrison; a brother, William of Croton, and one grandchild. A requiem mass was held Wednesday at Holy Name Church. Burial was in St. Mary's Cemetery, Yonkers.
