Cleo “Ruth” Allen, 87, was born March 10, 1932 in Baytown, TX and passed away Monday, July 22, 2019.

Ruth graduated from Robert E. Lee High School in Baytown and later obtained her cosmetology license to open her own hair salon.

She was passionate about her family and enjoyed taking her children, when young, on many adventures.

Ruth loved socializing, visiting friends and the elderly in nursing homes. She always had a positive attitude and accepted everyone with never any judgement.

As a devout Christian she loved reading the Bible and singing gospel music and country music as well.

Ruth was preceded in death by her loving husband of 50 years, George Derrel Allen; her three sisters, Evelyn Barber, Margie Neal and Leona Reed.

She is survived by her son, Roger Allen and wife Leona; her daughter, Jana Harris and husband Dale; granddaughters, Jennifer Matthews and husband Justin, Lindsay Clark and husband Steve; and two great-grandsons, Jett and Jake Matthews.

Serving as Pallbearers will be: Jerry Johnson, James McGee, Steve Clark, Justin Matthews, Jerome Kubin, and Richard Kubin.
