Gorgonia Maria Alire, 105, passed away on December 26, 1998. Our precious mother returned to the loving arms of our Heavenly Father.

Born the 24th of July to Nicholas and Peida Archuleta in El Rito, New Mexico. Married Viterbo Alire on 21st of July 1913. Together they had 14 children, she also cared for and raised many of her grandchildren. Survived by seven of her children and spouses: Celina Gallegos, Aggie Vela, Tiofila Martinez, Mary Kohl, Rosita Chacon, Benny Alire, Willie Alire Sr. and five generations of her children, Benito, Jose, Pedro, Otimio, Grace, Silveria, Benino, her faith and devotion to family enriched and inspired our lives. Her love strength, wisdom, and beauty will continue to encourage us. Member of the Guadalupnas at St. Therese's. John 11:25, 26; Thess. 5:16-18; and Matt 6:9-13.

Funeral Mass will be held Wednesday, December 30, 1998 at 2 p.m. at Redwood Memorial Estates Chapel, 6500 S. Redwood Road. Friends may call Tuesday evening at Redwood for a 6-7 p.m. viewing with a 7 p.m. Rosary to follow, friends may also call Wednesday one hour prior to the services at Redwood
