Mrs. Dorothy Marie Hurley Hobbs, age 74 of Barbourville, was born in Barbourville, KY on September 20, 1944 to the late Frank and Rosie Doolin Hurley and departed this life on July 24, 2019 in the Hazard ARH Hospital.
She was a Member of Boone Height Pentecostal Church and enjoyed Drinking Coffee, Sewing, spending time with her grandchildren and great grandchildren Ethan and Ava, and loved spending time with her brother and special friend Fred Stanfill.
In addition to her parents: Frank and Rosie Hurley; 3 daughters: Jackie Hobbs, Janie Hobbs, and Marilyn Smith; an infant son; and 2 sisters: May Alice Leddington, and Rebecca Ann Johnson preceded her in death.
She is survived by special friend: Fred Stanfill; a daughter: Trina Jackson of Tazwell, TN: a brother: Willie Hurley and wife Kathy of Barbourville; 3 grandchildren: Eric Smith, Joey Johnson, and Jessica Engle; and 2 great grandchildren: Ethan and Ava; other relatives and many friends to mourn her passing.
Funeral Services for Mrs. Dorothy Hobbs will be conducted on Monday, July 29, 2019 at 2:00 P.M. in the Barbourville Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Charles Henson officiating. Burial will follow in the Fisher Cemetery with family and friends serving as Pallbearers. Barbourville Funeral Home is assisting the family with the arrangements.
