Miss Nora Davis, about 75, last immediate descendant of one of Huntsville's pioneer families died at her home, 437 McClung street at 1 o'clock.

Miss Davis had been in failing health a number of years and lately it had been a difficult matter for her to get about at all.

Born in Huntsville she was the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Zebulon P. Davis. She lived here all her life except for brief intervals during her early days. Her father served as mayor of Huntsville a number of years.

Miss Davis received her early education in Huntsville and later attended Lebanon school in Ohio. She taught in the public schools here and in Decatur.

During the latter years of her life, Miss Davis, wrote several books that received considerable attention. One of her known works was "The Northerner" while another "The Other Woman" was used as the basis for a moving picture, which was shown here.
