George E. Curtis, age 57 years old, passed away at his home in Harrisburg. He was the son of Carolyn E. (Tavick) Curtis, and the late Donald Curtis. A graduate of the former John Harris High School, attended Taylor School of Business, a U.S. Army Veteran of the Vietnam War Era, retired from the U.S. Army Reserves and Mechanicsburg Naval Supply Depot, a member of St. Paul Missionary Baptist Church, American Legion Ephraim Slaughter Post 733, 82nd Airborne Division Association, Paxton Lodge #16, F.&A.M. Pa. Friends of Jazz and Club 320. He loved jazz and in his leisure loved cooking and entertaining.
George leaves to celebrate his life, his daughters, Melania Y. Curtis stationed with the U.S. Army at Ft. McCoy, WI, and Lauren A. Curtis of Laurel MD; his mother, Carolyn E. Curtis; his brother, Richard E. Curtis; his maternal grandmother, Sinnie B. Travick, all of Harrisburg; his granddaughter, Ravyn and a host of other relatives and friends.
His life was celebrated in the Sanctuary of his church, with burial at the William Howard Day Cemetery, Steelton
