She was born on May 12, 1915 in New York City, daughter of the late Joseph and Maria (Volpe) Meli.
Mrs. Angelini came to Stamford in 1950 having worked at The Coppola Shop of Stamford from 1977 to 1985. She then moved to be with her daughter to Maryland in 1996 and then to Florida in 1999.
She is survived by her daughter Carol Smith of Florida; grandchildren, Joy Smith of Maryland, Jennifer Goldberg and her husband Jeff of Florida, Robert Smith Jr., and his wife Jennifer of Maryland; great-grandchildren, Roger Stewart, Kade Goldberg, Smith Goldberg, Madison Smith and Morgan Smith; sister Virginia "Ginny" Passaro of Stamford; nieces, nephews and friends.
Besides her parents, she was predeceased by her husband, Edward B. Angelini in 1977; brothers, Peter Meli and Vincent Meli; and sisters, Mary Fiore and Natale Meli.
