Darrin Anselm Leibham passed away peacefully surrounded by loved ones on July 18, 2019. Darrin was born on September 24, 1968 to Peter and Patricia (Billinger) Leibham in Colby, KS. He graduated from Wichita Northwest High School in 1987. Darrin loved all sports. He was a successful wide receiver at both Independence Community College and Friends University. Recently, Darrin and the 1987-88 ICC football team were inducted into the ICC Athletic Hall of Fame. Darrin was also the Wichita City League diving champion. His other interests included golf, soccer, hunting, water sports, softball, volleyball. and lake shenanigans. He enjoyed cheering for the Jayhawks. He loved Wichita and his work at Love Box Co., Carlson Products and CI Properties. But the greatest joys of Darrin's life were his family, friends and dogs. There are not enough adjectives to describe Darrin's big personality. Loving, kind, dependable, fun-loving, generous, selfless, loyal, ornery, and giant hearted are a few shared by many. He never met a stranger, and he would be there for anyone who might need a hand. Darrin was preceded in death by his birth mother, Patricia Leibham. He is survived by his parents, his brother, his sister, his nephew, his niece, his "furry" children Sis and Bree, and many other relatives and friends. "Your wings were ready, but my heart was not." Per Darrin's wishes his ashes were scattered on his mother, Patricia (Billinger) Leibham's grave.
