Parks Florence, age 86, of Warrior, Alabama passed away on Wednesday July 31, 2019. Parks was born December 26, 1932 in Warrior, Alabama.
Parks had a long career in construction where he was a self-employed tile setter for over 45 years where he became well known for his craft.
Parks was preceded in death by his parents, Obed Errot Florence (1901 - 1992) and Elma Ellen Florence (1904 - 1991, his loving wife, Doris Florence (1932-2019), two sons, Grady Florence (1950-1950) and Glenn Florence (1952-2013), and a sister-in-law, Bobbie Jean Lawson Florence (1937-2017).
Parks is survived by two sons, Donald Florence (Tina) and Patrick Florence (Patty); a daughter, Rebecca Florence; two brothers, Rogers Florence and Curtis Florence (Patsy); grandchildren, Donny Florence (Carrie), Eric Florence, Joseph Florence, and Angela Florence; one great grandchild, Shelby Florence; several nieces, nephews, and a host of friends.
A visitation for Parks will be held Saturday, August 3, 2019 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at Ridout's Gardendale Chapel, 2029 Decatur Highway, Gardendale, AL 35071. A funeral service will occur Saturday, August 3, 2019 from 11:00 AM, 2029 Decatur Highway, Gardendale, AL 35071. A burial will occur at Pleasant Hill Cemetery, 2408 Morton Rd, Warrior, Alabama 35180-2717.
