Theresa S. Hagerty, 90, a longtime Danvers resident passed away December 11, 2016. She was the loving wife of the late Gerard P. Hagerty who passed in 2009. She grew up in Merrymount (Quincy, Ma) and later in Milton, MA. Theresa was a graduate of Regis College. She enjoyed a 30 year career teaching Kindergarten in Boston. She enjoyed horseback riding as a young girl (both of her grand-daughters, Katie Hagerty and Molly Barry are avid equestrians. She was an avid Boston College Eagles football fan and attended numerous football games with Gerard who graduated from BC and several other alumni friends, during the glory days of Doug Flutie. Theresa spent several summers enjoying growing vegetables and cooking with the produce. She was a devoted member of St. Mary of the Annunciation Parish in Danvers where she and her husband were loyal members of the Mr. & Mrs. Club. Theresa loved spending winters in Punta Gorda, Fl where she enjoyed the sunshine, socializing and the ocean of Southwest Florida with dear friends and her brother and his wife, William and Barbara Shields. She is survived by her daughter Karen A Barry and her husband Bryan Barry and their children, her grandchildren, Brendan Barry and Mary "Molly" Barry of Rowley,Ma. Also her son Brian G Hagerty and his wife Donna Hagerty and their children, Katherine "Katie" Hagerty and Connor Hagerty, of Wakefield, RI. She is also survived by several nephews and nieces.
