Thomas Jenkins was born July 15, 1666 at Barnstable, Barnstable County, Massachusetts to John and Mary Wallen Jenkins. Experience Hamlin, a twin with Eleazer, was born April 12, 1668 at Barnstable to James and Mary Dunham Hamlin. Thomas, a farmer, and Experience were married August 24, 1687 at Barnstable and their children were: Thankful, Experience, Mercy Mary (#132391428), Ebenezer, Samuel, Josiah, Hope and Sarah. Experience, the mother, died 1705 or after at Barnstable and was buried in the Ancient Cemetery at Centerville in Barnstable County. Thomas then married Mercy Winslow, widow of Malatiah White of Rochester, Massachusetts, sometime between December 18, 1712 and December 22, 1715. There are no children listed for this marriage. Seventy-eight year old Thomas died February 15, 1745 at Barnstable. He is most likely buried in the Ancient Cemetery at Centerville where Experience was buried or in Barnstable. The will of Thomas was written March 9, 1737 at Barnstable. His wife Mercy and his eight children are mentioned in the will. His inventory was appraised at over 3,849 pounds.
