B.F. Eubanks B.F. Eubanks, 90, of Baton Rouge, La., died Monday, Aug. 8, 2005, at Our Lady of the Lake Hospital in Baton Rouge. Visitation will be 5 p.m. until 9 p.m. Thursday at Jones Funeral Home in Ellisville. Funeral services will be held 10 a.m. Friday at Jones Funeral Home. Dr. Alan Woodward and Phil Yoho will officiate. Interment will be in Ellisville Cemetery, Ellisville. Mr. Eubanks retired from Gibson's in 1987. He was a member of First Baptist Church, Ellisville, for more than 50 years, where he served as church secretary and treasurer for 16 years and was a deacon. He was a member of Southside Baptist Church in Baton Rouge for 12 years. He was a Mason and member of Eastern Star. He served on the city hospital board for 12 years and was secretary and treasurer of Ellisville Cemetery Association. He was the first male president of Ellisville Elementary PTA. His favorite Bible verse was John 3:16, "For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son that whosoever believeth in Him should not perish but have everlasting life." He was preceded in death by his wife, Myrtie Belle Eubanks; his parents, David Webster and Nannie Eubanks of Lucedale; his sisters, Laurentine Waldrup and Willard McEachern; and his brothers, D.W. Elbridge and Mike Eubanks. He is survived by his daughter and son-in-law, Linda and Kenneth Sherman of Baton Rouge; his son and daughter-in-law, Charles David and Hildra Eubanks of Nesbit; a beloved niece, Hilda Steele of Prentiss; his grandchildren, David Eubanks and wife Connie, of Fenton, Mo., and Kenda Sherman Habbouch and husband, Hatem, of Baton Rouge; his great grand-children, Bram and Emma Metz of Baton Rouge; his brother, Francis Eubanks of Houston, Texas; and his sister, Nan Davis of Clinton. Nephews will serve as pallbearers. Jones Funeral Home of Ellisville is in charge of arrangements.
