Charles Gross, 30, Washington Bank Employee

H. Charles Gross, 30, of 103 Wall St., Belvidere, died in Monroe County General Hospital, East Stroudsburg, early today. He was hospitalized seven weeks.

Mr. Gross was born in Wilson and spent his life in Belvidere. He was a graduate of Belvidere High Schoo, class of 1949. He was a son of Harry and Louise Currie Gross of Belvidere.

He served as a staff sergeant in the 1st Bomber Squadron of the U. S. Air Force from September 1950 to September 1954. He was stationed in Guam twice.

Mr. Gross was employed in the mortgage and loan department of the Washington Trust Co., Washington, N. J.

He was a member of Calvary Community Church, Lower Harmony; Warren Lodge 13, F&AM, Belvidere, and the Belvidere Ambulance Corps. He was secretary of the police reserves of Belvidere Civil Defense.

Surviving, in addition to his parents, are his widow, Carolyn Beers Gross, and two sons, Brian and Neal, both at home.

The funeral will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday at the MacFadden Funeral Home, Belvidere. Warren Lodge will hold Masonic rites at 8 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.
