Mr. Hampton retired to Cape Canaveral from Washington, DC in June of 1997 after working 30 years with the Computer Operations Division of the Defense Intelligence Agency in Washington. He served in the U.S. Army in France, Germany and Washington, DC and also served as an elected member of the Morningside, MD town council. Surviving are children, Nelson S. Hampton of San Diego, CA and Nancy Hendrickson of Falls Church, VA; siblings, Barbara Barrett of Manhattan Beach, CA and Carlton L. Hampton of Cape Canaveral and 2 grandchildren. He will be buried in Head of the River Cemetery, Tuckahoe, NJ. A Funeral Service will be held on March 5, 2011 at the Adams Perfect Funeral Home in Northfield, NJ.
