Born in Anderson County, she was the daughter of the late Joseph Milton "Billy" and Iva Ruth Moore Adams. She was employed with Holman Insurance Agency for a number of years and later retired from SC DHEC. Mrs. Snipes was a member of Zion United Methodist Church and attended Dickson Memorial United Methodist Church.
Survivors include her daughter, Jill M. Robinson; four grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; and two brothers, Johnny Adams and wife, Linda, and Jimmy Adams and wife, Pat.
In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by a son, Jack Milton Snipes.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday, July 21, at Dickson Memorial United Methodist Church conducted by Rev. Judy Hames and Rev. Beverly CroweTipton. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6 until 8 p.m. Friday at Sullivan-King Mortuary. The family is at the residence.
