CLEVELAND HOOKER was the son of Dee Hooker and Mrs. Alma Hooker.


He was the husband of Mrs. Helen Joyce (Jackson) Hooker.

"Funeral services for CLEVELAND HOOKER, of 504 Eubanks Streets, Carthage, will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday, in Bethlehem Baptist Church with the Rev. J.T. Harris officiating. Burial will be in Walker Cemetery under direction of Peoples Funeral Home. After a long illness, Mr. Hooker died on Friday, February 22, 1985, in Panola General Hospital. A lifelong resident of Panola County, he was born June 21, 1929. He attended Panola County public schools, and he was a laborer. He married Helen Hooker on March 9, 1957, in Panola County. Survivors include his wife; one son, Cleveland Hooker Jr.; six daughters, Gale Berry, Delphine Davis, Karen Hooker, Sandra Hooker, Sharon Hooker and Barbra Hooker; one brother, James Hooker; one sister, Dorothy Hayes; one aunt; one uncle; and a number of other relatives and friends.
