LAKES, Isaac Lane “Toot”, age 64 of Dayton, Ohio was born July 31, 1955 in LaGrange, GA to the late Hilton Lakes and Robbie Mae Askew Lakes. He was a graduate of Roosevelt High School. Issac was the owner and operator of Lakes Construction Company for many years. Issac was a loving and devoted father, grandfather, brother, uncle and friend. He was a protector and great provider for his children. Issac had a big heart and was willing to give the shirt off his back. He enjoyed spending time with family, fishing, dancing, listening to music and barbequing. On Friday, August 2, 2019 Issac Lane Lakes, affectionately known as “Toot”, transitioned from this life to be in the presence of the Lord. He was also preceded in death by the love of his life Tonulette Armstrong; grandmother, Minnie Askew and special cousin, Gary Glenn.Issac leaves to cherish fond memories and celebrate his life; (2) loving daughters, Donikka (Tremaine) Luster and Tiera Lakes (James) Pippins; (1) loving son, Jared Lakes; (10) beloved grandchildren, Tre’Don, Da'Vion, De’Vanae, Jeremiah, Jumyne, Joshua, James, JC Hailey, Janieya and Jayda; (1) great grandson, Reign Luster; (4) brothers, Mack Arthur (Cathy), Hilton (Caroline), Lewis and Allen Lakes; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends. . Funeral services will be held 10:00 a.m. FRIDAY, August 9, 2019 at THOMAS FUNERAL HOME, 4520 Salem Ave., with Pastor Darryl Young, Officiating. The family will receive friends one hour prior to services. Interment: Jeffersonview Cemetery.
