John P. Aiken Jr., passed away Sunday, Nov. 25, 2018, in Craig, Colo.
He was born in New Castle on June 17, 1950, and graduated in 1968 from Hickory High School, Hermitage. He attended Doane College in Crete, Neb.
Being an outdoorsman, he fished and hunted everywhere in Western Pennsylvania until his desire and love life drove him west through Lincoln, Neb., to Craig, Colo., where he raised a great family and hunted and fished to his heart's desire.
He worked 35-plus years supporting the power plant in Craig and retired a few years ago.
John is survived by his daughters, Lesley Aiken, of Cheyenne, Wyo., and Katie Aiken of New York; brother Gary (June) Aiken of Colorado Springs, Colo.; former wife and friend Susan Aiken of Lincoln, as well as numerous nieces and nephews.
Memorial donations may be made to the Inter-Faith Food Bank or The Moffat County Humane Society in care of Grant Mortuary, 621 Yampa Ave., Craig, CO 81625.
