From her obituary:
Abbie was the youngest daughter of Mahlon and Amy Williamson. She united with the M.E. Church at Mt. Hope in December 1897 and since has lived a true and devoted christian life.
During her sickness, which was about two weeks, she was patient and never complained, was always kind which was characteristic of her in days of health. She was loved and admired for her frank and honest ways and her cheerful greetings will ever be a pleasant reminiscence to all who knew her while living.
Abbie will be sadly missed not only at home, but in the church and Sunday school, of which she was a regular attendant. She leaves a father, mother, four sisters: Mrs. Al Hull, Mrs. Ben McGinness and Mrs. Samuel Wollcott, all of South Wabash, and Miss Nellie Williamson.
The funeral was held at Monument city on Thursday, September 4, conducted by Rev. J. J. Barrett of Mt. Etna and Rev. J. W. Southwood of Monument City. Her body was then followed by loved ones to its last resting place in the cemetery near by. Six young men from the high school class were pall bearers: Ray Sharp, Homer Owen, Holtie Bradford, Eddie Bolinger, Chester Bailey and Fred Vickery. Six young ladies from the high school class and two from the Sunday school class carried the flowers: Ethel Weeks, Jessie Bailey, Beatrice Weeks, Jessie Thomas, Maud Noggle, Anna Duffey, Inez Lewis, and Katie Duffey.
