Ethelene Marie Brune, age 80, of Newport, Kentucky, previously of Camp Springs, Kentucky, passed away peacefully at home surrounded by her family on August 8, 2019. She was born on January 10, 1939, to Edward and Marie Kohne Schack, who preceded her in death.
She also was preceded in death by her brother, Richard Schack. She is survived by: a son, Chris (Lisa) Brune; six daughters, Bridget Brune, Ronda Schulz, Patrice (Chip) Maus, Regina (Rick) Nelson, Jo-Ann (David) Keethler and Martha Hopper; a brother, Edward Schack; three sisters, Marion Carl, Elinor Ritter and Sr. Jacqueline Marie Schack; 16 grandchildren; and many great-grandchildren.
Ethelene donated her body to the University of Cincinnati College of Medicine. Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 6:00 p.m. Monday, August 12, at Saint Joseph Camp Springs, 6829 Four Mile Road, Camp Springs, Kentucky 41059. A reception will follow at the church. Cooper Funeral Home is serving the family.
