HERBERT A. LAVELY, 73, of 4111 Noyes Avenue, SE, died Monday at home.
He was a World War I army veteran, member of the Asbury United Methodist Church, retired chief engineer for Kanawha Manufacturing Company, attended Alleghany College at Meadville, Pennsylvania, Mason, Shriner.
Surviving: widow, Gertrude; daughter, Mrs. Phyllis Cavender of Charleston; sisters, Miss Rachel Lavely and Mrs. Catherine Bloomquist, both of Muskegon, Michigan, Mrs. Mary Williams of Morgantown, Mrs. Shirley Koch of Salem, Ohio, and Mrs. Ruth Hart of Englewood, Florida.
Service will be 2 p.m. Wednesday at J. E. Johnson Funeral Home, Kanawha City. Burial in Sunset Memorial Park.
