Jannia Marlene Wilson BeAbout was born February 3, 1952 in Seymour, Missouri to Eugene Wilson and Helen Sartin Wilson. She passed away on August 10, 2019 at Meadowbrook Care Center in Van Alstyne, Texas.
After finishing high school in Illinois, she moved to Springfield, Missouri to attend Baptist Bible College. It was there she met Pepe BeAbout. She married Pepe in Springfield on December 27, 1973 between semesters. Jan earned an education degree from Baptist Bible College. She taught in Illinois and then in Texas. She was a dedicated teacher who wouldn't accept failure from students. She had high standards in her classroom and expected students to work hard.
The culmination of her educational career was homeschooling her son, Cheyenne from Kindergarten to 12th Grade. Jan sacrificially poured her life into him.
She was an ardent follower of Jesus. She actively served the Lord in her church in many ways, children's church, bus ministry, and of course, teaching the Bible in Sunday School. She was a member of Grayson Bible Baptist Church, Sherman.
Jan was a loving wife, and mother, nurturing a Christian home atmosphere. She was a lady of hospitality, kindness and respect. She leaves a legacy of Christian faith to all who knew her.
She is survived by her husband, Pepe BeAbout of Sherman; son, Cheyenne BeAbout of Sherman; mother, Helen Wilson of Marshfield, Missouri; sisters, Cindy Bealer (Jim) of Chattanooga, Tennessee and Brenda Ellis of Colorado Springs, Colorado; brothers, Gary Wilson (Linda) of Stratford, Missouri, Jonathan Wilson of Reno, Nevada; along with extended family and friends. She was preceded in death by her father, Pete Wilson; daughter, Angel Dawn BeAbout; and brother, Dan Wilson.
Graveside Services will be held, 11AM Tuesday, August 13, 2019 at Rose Hill Cemetery, Bells, Texas.
