SHREVEPORT, LA - Graveside services will be held for Mrs. Margie Gray McMahon at 11:00 am, Saturday, November 7, 2009 at Forest Park Cemetery on St. Vincent Avenue. Officiating with be her nephew, Reverend Roy A. Kornegay of Amarillo, TX. Visitation will be from 5:00 to 7:00 pm, Friday, November 6, 2009 at Forest Park Funeral Home on Louisiana Avenue.

Margie was born in Arkansas and completed her education at Byrd High School and Centenary College. She passed her Louisiana Bar Exam in July 1953 and began practicing law in Shreveport. Except for periods in Houston, TX and Alexandria, VA, she practiced law in Shreveport until her retirement because of ill health from Norman R. Gordon and Associates.

Mrs. McMahon was a member of the Louisiana Bar, First Presbyterian Church and numerous civic organizations.

Margie passed away on November 2, 2009. She was preceded in death by her husband, Morton McMahon; parents, George B. and Carrie Nelson Gray; sisters, Evvie Wesson, Blanche Little and Clara Kornegay; brothers, George B., Clyde I. and Clarence A. Gray. She is survived by many nieces and nephews.
