Nettie Holt, Tampa, Fla., formerly of Somerset, Ky., died Thursday, June 28, 2007, in Florida.

She was born July 14, 1911, in Pulaski County, Ky., a daughter of the late Tom and Lena Hall West. She was a retired school teacher, having taught 33 years in the Somerset School System, mostly sixth grade. She obtained her degree from Eastern Kentucky University. She was a member of Somerset First Baptist Church.

She is survived by a son, James T. (and Hilda) Holt, Land O' Lakes, Fla., and a sister, Edith Frazier, Lexington, Kentucky.

She was preceded in death by her parents.

Funeral services will be held Monday, July 2, at 11 a.m. in the chapel of Somerset Undertaking Company with Rev. Jim Fields officiating.

Burial will be in Somerset Cemetery.

Visitation will be Monday, July 2, after 9 a.m. until time for service.

Nettie Holt of Brighton Gardens in Tampa,Fl passed away on Thursday June 28, 2007. She was a native of Pulaski County, and was born on July 14, 1911 to the late Tom and Lena Hall West. She is survived by one son James L. Holt and his wife Hilda of Land-O'-Lake, Fl. Also surviving is one sister Edith Frazier of Lexington, KY. Nettie was a graduate of Eastern Kentucky University and was a teacher for the Somerset Board of Education where she taught the 6th grade for over thiry years. She had many special friends here in Somerset who kept in contact with her after her move to Lexington and then onto Tampa,Fl. Nettie was a member of Somerset First Baptist Church. She loved her students and those who knew her. The Rev. Jim Fields will conduct her funeral services and Mr. David Pendley will sing her favorite hymn; "Have Faith In God".
