MYERS, Cecil W. "Dutch," age 89 of Dayton, Ohio passed away at home on Sunday, August 11, 2019. He is preceded in death by his first wife, Lorraine (Recob); daughter, Dee Bromm; grandchildren, Amber and Steven Brown; second wife, Marilyn (McMahon) Myers; stepson, David McMahon; brothers, Pete, Elwood, Paul, Bud, Howard, Denny Myers; sister, Mary Lou Beltz. Dutch is survived by his loving children, Larry (Mary Ann) Dunn, Robert (Alice), Debra (Jim) Davis, John (Debbie), Jim (Sarah Clarke) Myers; step children who adored him, Timothy McMahon, Lisa McMahon (Mark Danley); also surviving are his sisters, Juanita Gillispie, Gloria Jean (Dale) Jones; brother, Vernon (Sue) Myers; sisters in law, Sue Myers, and Peggy Myers; grandchildren, Rob Myers, Nick (Tricia) Davis, Jordan Davis, Steve Davis, Tara (Mike) Swartz, Tracy (Craig) Callison, Monica Brown, Jeffrey & Ashley Myers, Travis and Corey Myers, Nicole (Tyler) Forsythe, Bethany McMahon, Shawn Skinner, Jeffrey McMahon; numerous great grandchildren, nieces and nephews as well as his beloved dog, Abby. Dutch was born in Keyser, West Virginia in 1929 and raised in Arthurdale, West Virginia before relocating to Dayton, Ohio. He was a Journeyman Plumber at GM for 32 years. He never knew a stranger and was always there to give a helping hand to anyone in need. He was deeply loved and will be missed. The family would like to thank the amazing caregivers from Home Instead Senior Care who helped care for Dad in the last eleven months, and also Hospice of Dayton. A visitation will take place from 9:30am until 11am on Saturday, August 17, 2019 at Tobias Funeral Home- Belmont Chapel. Burial will immediately follow the visitation at Glen Haven Memorial Gardens, New Carlisle, Ohio. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Hospice of Dayton or The Alzheimer's Association.
