Patent trader - Sunday, June 16, 1963: - CROTON FALLS - Arther Washington Adams, 74, of Reed Road, died Tuesday at Grasslands Hospital following a long illness. He was born February 20, 1889 in Carmel, the son of the late Freeman and Rosella Austin Adams. He attended school in Kent. He was a member of Croton Falls Fire Department, and Kent Baptist Church in Kent Cliffs. He was a farmer and had lived in Croton Falls since 1946. He is survived by his wife, Cassie Odell Adams, whom he married April 6, 1912 in Cold Spring; one son, Kenneth A. Adams of Croton Falls; one brother, Daniel Adams of Patterson; and one sister, Mrs. Willis Booth of Ludingtonville; and five grandchildren. He had one other son, Francis J. Adams, who was killed in action in Italy in 1944. Funeral services were held Friday at Beecher funeral home, Brewster, with Rev. H. P. Simpson, officiating. Interment was in Raymond Hill Cemetery, Carmel.
