Bobby was born in Davidson County March 18, 1932 to Cecil Cammie Kirk and Kate Coggins Kirk.
He was a member of New Testament Baptist Church. He was an avid wood worker, motorcyclist and enjoyed gardening and camping.
He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother James Kirk and sister-in-law, Lucille Kirk and a sister, Peggy Kirk Miller.
Surviving are his wife of 67 years, Bonnie Kirk; sons, Doug Kirk (Donna) of Lexington, Cammie Kirk (Michelle) all of Lexington; daughter, Regina Ridenhour (Wayne) of Richfield, NC; 8 grandchildren, 16 great-grandchildren and 1 great-great-grandchild; brothers, Larry Kirk (Anita) of Merritt Island, FL and Dale Kirk (Nellie) of Lexington; sisters, Elizabeth Beck of Lexington and Gail Black (Dalton) of Holden Beach, NC; brother-in-law, Leon Miller of Lexington; his fur baby, Pebbles and numerous nieces and nephews.
A funeral service will be held at 11:00 AM Saturday August 24, 2019 in the Davidson Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Richard Johnson and Dr. Robert Floyd officiating. Burial will follow at Forest Hill Memorial Park. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 6:00 until 8:00 Pm Friday evening. Memorials may be made to Hospice of Davidson County, 200 Hospice Way, Lexington, NC 27292.
