Our beloved husband, father, brother, uncle, grandpa, and great-grandpa passed away at 6:22 p.m. on August 16, 2019 at his home in Salt Lake City surrounded by his loving family. He was seventy-nine years of age.

He was born October 17, 1939 in Salt Lake City to Arthur and Eliza Langton.

David married Rose Ann Martinez Langton on September 16, 1960. She was the love of his life. He was a member of the Cannon Third Ward.

He is survived by his wife, Rose Ann Martinez Langton; two daughters, Tonia Lynette Ward Langton and Elizabeth Genea Langton; brother, Lynn (Kelly) Langton; grandchildren, David Salinas, Christy Lynn Stevens, and Tiffany (Trevor) Morrison; and many great-grandchildren, nephews, and nieces, whom he loved with all of his heart; as well as many relatives and friends. David is preceded in death by his parents, Arthur Langton and Eliza Evans Langton; in-laws, Emilia Martinez and Fredrick Martinez; brother, Melvin Langton, Dean (Pauline) Hamilton; sister, Carol (Will) Langton Larson; son, David Lynn Langton; and grandsons, Ronald David Herd and Joshua Robert Wells; as well as grandparents, uncles, nephews, and nieces.

He loved camping, fishing, his garden, going to Wendover, and going on cruises with Rose, but most of all he loved being with his family each and every one of you! He also loved going to coffee with the guys! He served in the United States Army.

David was the most kind, sweet, and loving person to everyone he knew. He touched a lot of lives and the world will ache without him here in it.

We know you are in a better place now! Thank you, God, for not letting him suffer; he was a strong man who fought a hard fight with his illnesses for years. We all know all are with you in Heaven. Please give Nana, little Ronnie, and Joshua a special kiss from us, as well as our loved ones left behind. We will cherish every memory of you forever and always!

We want to give a George Lassche a special “Thank You” for giving my dad his last rights. We also want to thank Cannon Third Ward for all their help in our time of need. And the VA and hospice for all who cared for our dad! Last, but not least, thank you to every one of you in advance for all your love and support through this difficult time.

Please honor our dad by writing a memory, or sharing a picture with him, or anything you would like to write.
